Darrick was born and raised in the Central Valley. His father established Walker Farms there in 1978, and it has grown into an enterprise that now owns over 10,000 acres. Darrick learned to farm from his father in a hands-on way, beginning at an early age. He has remained active in agriculture his entire life while also building a successful investment management business with over $700MM assets under management. Darrick is involved in every aspect of CVAP’s business, including site selection, orchard development, irrigation system design, harvesting, and crop sales. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993.

James has been involved in the acquisition and management of Western farmland since 2008. He has been directly responsible for the acquisition of more than 40,000 acres of California farmland with a market value over $500 million. He has worked for large public and private landowners as well as energy, municipal water, and public utilities. James has also managed several real estate-related companies focusing on finance and development. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 1996.
